Cannabinoid Concentration

Pre-recovery concentration is calculated on the total weight in the melanger, cocoa liqueur included — the full fill mass (liqueur, sugar, butter, milk, flavor ingredients, isolates), matching the COGS model. Dosing: each target is grossed up by its buffer %, divided by the isolate's purity, and rounded up to purchasable whole grams. "Expected in chocolate" applies the loss %, which comes from the Actual Potency Tracker and can be negative when COAs test above expectation. A red value means landing below 90% of target (outside ±10% label tolerance).

Packaging per box = box + DDP shipping + insert card + gold foil wrappers + box sealer (no card fee). Defaults per the 10/9 COGS model: $1.50 MPS box + $0.32 shipping, $0.6201 Fastprinting foil-printed insert card, $0.287 Alufoil wrappers ($12 per 1,000 — one per square, 20/box), $0.0436 sealer = $2.77/box.

Manufacturing Cost by Melanger ingredients + labor + packaging

Manufacturing cost = ingredients + labor (production-specific steps 3–11) + packaging materials. Receiving, storage, labeling, finished-goods storage and shipping labor remain excluded, as does lab/COA testing. Packaging is allocated to each melanger by its box count.

Labor by Process Step

Edit minutes and basis inline. "Per production (split)" minutes are entered once for the whole production and allocated equally across melangers; "Per box" scales with each melanger's boxes. Only production-specific steps (3–11) are costed.

Gross margin here is against manufacturing COGS only — COA testing, mailer boxes, shipping, and channel fees are not deducted. Retail/wholesale channel modeling stays in the COGS Excel.

Actual Potency Tracker COA vs expected, mg/g

Each batch logs the COA's measured potency (mg/g) against the expected pre-recovery concentration (mg/g, on total melanger mass incl. cocoa liqueur). Difference = (expected − actual) ÷ actual — positive means the chocolate tested under expectation (a loss), negative means it tested over. The running average feeds the planning loss %; record COA results on each melanger run sheet under Actuals.
