Cannabinoid Concentration

Dosing follows the Recipe 2A conversion calculation: targets are grossed up by the recovery loss (so the finished chocolate lands on target), rounded up to purchasable amounts, and isolate additions are net of the CBG/CBC already carried by the broad spectrum. "Expected in chocolate" applies the recovery loss to the dosed amount — a red value means the current gross-up isn't quite covering the target. Broad spectrum composition and recovery %s are editable in Settings; recovery is measured per batch in the Recovery Tracker.

Stage split (default 60 / 20 / 20 — start, sugar & spice, milk & cannabinoids) is editable in Settings.

Packaging Cost

Packaging per box = (box + DDP shipping + insert card + gold foil + glassine) × (1 + card fee). Insert card, foil, and glassine default to $0 — enter them per box as quotes land. Swap in the order you're actually costing — e.g. the 500-unit OXO run was $8.92/unit before fees.

Manufacturing Cost by Melanger ingredients + labor + packaging

Manufacturing cost = ingredients + labor (production-specific steps 3–11) + packaging materials. Receiving, storage, labeling, finished-goods storage and shipping labor remain excluded, as does lab/COA testing. Packaging is allocated to each melanger by its box count.

Labor by Process Step

Edit minutes and basis inline. "Per production (split)" minutes are entered once for the whole production and allocated equally across melangers; "Per box" scales with each melanger's boxes. Only production-specific steps (3–11) are costed.

Finance gross profit

Gross margin here is against manufacturing COGS only — COA testing, mailer boxes, shipping, and channel fees are not deducted. Retail/wholesale channel modeling stays in the COGS Excel.

Recovery Tracker cannabinoids lost in process

Recovery loss = 1 − (COA actual ÷ dosed pre-recovery), per batch. Record COA actuals on each melanger run sheet under Actuals. The planning gross-up in Settings should track the running average: dosing is multiplied by (1 + loss%) so the finished chocolate lands on target. Averages are rounded up to the next 0.1 point before applying, per the COGS model convention.
